1960
Gordon Cameras founded
The very first company formed as part of the modern-day Vanti Limited, was Gordon Cameras, specialising in broadcast TV video.
1972
Gordon Cameras becomes Gordon Audio-Visual
Recognising the growing popularity and breadth of the audio-visual market – including home cinematography and corporate presentations – Gordon Cameras rebrands as an early leader in the AV space.
2008
The birth of Torpedo Factory Group
In 2001 the Phenomenon Group acquires Gordon AV to further develop the corporate AV sector. In 2008 the company purchases “The Old Torpedo Factory” in North Acton and rebrands as Torpedo Factory Group in 2012.
2011
Vanti disrupts the AV industry
Seeing the writing on the wall for legacy audio-visual integrators, Vanti forms as an IT-led systems integrator, disrupting traditional pricing models and placing an emphasis on user experience (UX), software and IP-based (rather than physical cable) integration.
2017
TFG acquires National Stage Technology
TFG acquires National Stage Technology, formed from the merger of three long-standing companies: Northern Stage Technologies, Lancelyn Theatre Supplies and Lancelyn Lighting.
2020
Covid-19 changes business forever
With the advent of Covid restrictions globally, audio-visual and building systems are recognised as business-critical solutions.
Vanti are ideally placed to assist their clients with the changes and challenges they face – from remote working to optimising building controls in now empty offices.
The global drive for sustainable practices leads to a deeper understanding of Net Zero building compliance requirements.
2023
Aukett Swanke Group plc acquires TFG
TFG is acquired by Aukett Swanke Group plc, one of the world’s global 100 architectural practices, and the only architecture firm to be quoted on the London Stock Exchange.
The acquisition places TFG in a unique position to tightly integrate technology into the built environment and transition to becoming a Master Systems Integrator (MSI).
2024
Aukett Swanke Group plc acquires Vanti
Vanti is acquired by Aukett Swanke Group plc to accelerate the group’s transition to becoming a global leader in designing, delivering and operating smart, sustainable buildings and spaces.
Following the sale of The Old Torpedo Factory, Torpedo Factory Limited rebrands as Vanti.
