Vanti becomes a B-Corp!

After months of hard work behind the scenes, we’re incredibly proud to announce that we have now been fully certified as a B-Corp!

We’ll be joining just over 6,000 B-Corps globally in 159 different industries. In Birmingham, we’re becoming the 19th with offices in the city, a big achievement considering the number of businesses which call the city home. We can also call ourselves the first true MSI to sign up to become a B-Corp in the world!

So, what does this actually mean and why are we so excited about the news?

Certified B Corporations are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment, and are expected to reach and maintain the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

By joining a community of like-minded businesses, we hope our work and commitment to Team Vanti, the communities in which we work, our clients and the planet will influence other organisations to follow suit.

To get to this point, Vanti has had to adapt the way it works by identifying and implementing new policies to meet a stringent set of values as part of the B Impact Assessment process. After passing the assessment, we now have a chance to recertify in 3 years’ time and to improve our score further.

We all know that industries across the world need to change for the betterment of the planet, and by signing up to join like-minded businesses around the world, we’re taking steps to inspire others to follow up in our footsteps.

But the hard work doesn’t stop now. We’ll be continuously looking at new ways to further improve our standing as a B-Corp, and new policies, working practices and targets will be identified and implemented in the coming months and years as we strive to improve further.

We’re extremely excited to start our journey as a certified B-Corp and can’t wait to see the positive change it brings. If you’d like to find out more about the B-Corp community, click here.
